This tea was made by the same people of the Lahu tribe and from the same material, but in 2016.
The cake is dark (as you can see in the photo) due to the special variety of the leaves that have purple veins and after processing, they become darker than usual. But this is not an ordinary purple-leaf tea. Also, do not confuse it with ye-sheng. It is a sweet variety of trees growing wildly in the Thai jungle.
In a tropical climate, tea ripens quickly and in addition to its solid color, this sheng has already gained a dense, thick taste. This pu-erh has a powerful fruit sweetness and it is not losing this sweetness while ripening.
Cha Qi collects thoughts and helps to concentrate.

This is a pleasant sheng puerh with a medium body mouthfeel and plenty of sweetness.
Its now a 5-year aging period has wonderfully minimised a whole lot of its 'green' taste that most sheng puerhs of the same age still have.
This is an easy drinking sheng, as the taste is gentle. Suitable for beginners too.
There's a slight dryness in the mouth. No tartness nor bitterness. A honeyed fruitiness in the aftertaste.
Wet leaves smell of burned fruit with sugar.
If you like vegetal puers than give this one a try!
Personally a vegetal falvor profile puers are low on my list,
but this one is very cute, and the material is of high quality.
It is very different though from the reagular Thai puer, so it makes sense it's "jungle" puer.
