A thick, deep taste with a rich aroma of cherry, chocolate, sweet red apples. Velvety aftertaste of aged tea with cinnamon and bark notes.

Lao Qing Xin (Chin Shin) Oolong is very unusual tea. In addition to amazing taste and flavor, it has very powerful energy. By the third-fourth brew different metamorphosis of consciousness begin to happen. The tea has a calming effect, it always brings relaxation to the mind and body and fills with tranquility and light euphoria.

Tea is a very delicate thing. It can show itself from different angles, depending on people around, the level of your care and attention, experience and native sensitivity.

Moreover, this aged Qing Xin is really unique. If you look at the photo you can see a memorial plate confirming the age. There are numbers: 2538, which mean the year of the harvest of this oolong. Buddhist 2538 is only 1995 for Christians. It was the first harvest on the plantation and the owners decided to memorize this event in such a way. To the great regret, this plantation of Qing Xin Oolong has been totally cut down a long time ago, so we can't try any fresh tea from there. But this old tea also remained just in a few amounts. Hurry up to order!

Brewing: 5 grams / 100 ml of water at 100 degrees Celsius, starting at 20 seconds

This tea has a lot of sweetness, which makes it a mild and pleasant brew and I found within more types of aromatics. I try to group them together in few categories, hopefully bringing more coherence to the description:

- caramel, honey - a certain sweet fragrance that reminds me of a DFMR
- a type of sweet florality that can be found in some Dancongs
- some fruity-sour notes (grapes, cherry)
- also, some spicy and roasted notes that remind me of gingerbread
- another layer of aromas is a bit difficult to describe, I would call it: a herbal-woodiness, which include some top notes that are somewhat similar to geranium

Who wants to discover the world of aged oolongs take it, and you never be disappointed.

Favorite oolong. My comrades have nicknamed it "silent tea". After this oolong you want to sit in complete attention and not be distracted by words.

Intoxicating sweet aroma of honeyed raisins from the resulting brewed liquor, with a hint of cinnamon.
The liquor is also smooth and clear, with no astringency nor bitterness.
The wet leaves has a slight smokiness to its sweet fruity note, kinda like burnt sugar, while still retain their bronzed dark greenish hue.
Love smelling the leftover tea aroma in the empty cup, though it disappears within a short time.
This tea makes you feel calm and slightly sleepy. A very pleasant drinking experience.

I had my first session with this tea (8gr / 100ml) , it was very pleasant.
About the smell & taste, I found honey, red fruits and wood. The mouthfeel is good, the steepability is extra.
The bodyfeel is relaxing, but not too much, so could I enjoy the tea and the book. It was a good evening!
Looking forward to further sessions!
