Aged 2006 loose leaf Ripe Pu-erh tea of Hong Tai Chang brand. Ancient tea trees 200-500 years old. The province of Chiang Mai in the north of Thailand, 1300 meters above sea level.

Dry tea flavor is composed of nuts, bark, sweet wood, delicate scent of dried fruit.

Neat leaves. The tea brews into a dense, opaque infusion.

The taste is soft and smooth. Dominated by nuts, chocolate, bark and milky tones. Pleasant aftertaste with a light wood astringency. Even tough brewing can do nothing with the softness of this Shou (ripe pu-erh).

Perfectly goes with confectionery.

This tea has a pretty nice calming effect.

The aroma of the heated leaf in the teapot has sweet berries, beet and carrot juice, licorice, and lots of sweetness! The aroma of a steaming teapot: noble perfumed notes, berries! The flavor is fresh, unpretentious! In the taste creaminess, milk chocolate, and the same bright perfumed sweetness in the aroma, inseparably going side by side in every sip!
Tea absolutely not typical for Shu, stands out even from the succession of Thai terroir! And everything about it is perfect!
From the very first steep turns on Qi, and begins a powerful cleansing of the mind, this tea is exclusively about good mood, smoothness of action, and global harmony! Maximum relaxed state, but after all the spring has already begun to contract, a little more and all the energy collected in the storerooms of consciousness will burst out, and all the work will be done! Tea is ideal for a leisurely morning, and ambitious plans for the day!

like other reviewers wrote- this is maybe the softest ripe I've had, but at the same time had a complex taste, good body, many steeps, calming qi.. as you'd expect from old tree material

this makes this tea unique and worth a try,
though for me it is perhaps too soft.. but maybe it'll grow on me

From the opened package there was a smell ... of nothing. Well, that is, almost nothing, because the chocolate wrapper flavor is still present, albeit in the distance. Once the steamed leaves woke up, it smelled of old chest, bark and autumn leaves, in the distance - either with milk or cream.

I would call the taste strict, even too strict, and even the solidity of the old tea is present, I could not decompose the taste into components. I tried to boil it, the tea became more interesting, density and sweetness appeared, calm dried fruit was added. This Shu adjusts you to a calm pacifying wave, slightly slowing down the time passing by.

Good Shu from interesting raw material.

One of the softest shu that I have ever tasted, I really liked the taste - cream, baked milk, walnut, sweet velvety aftertaste. And at the same time, the effects seemed to be quite powerful. I couldn't even fall asleep for a while, although I drank tea 3 hours before sleep, in such cases I usually fall asleep without any problems. I will try to drink it in the morning. Very dense leaf, even in the "tea bottom" retains this density.

I liked it. I tried Thai shu for the first time, it was interesting. Soft, good, clean. No dust, though the tea is old. I can recommend.
